Dyeing Information Dyeable shoes are the perfect way to compliment any Special Occasion outfit. To make your Dyeable shoe purchase as pleasant as possible please keep in mind these simple tips . 1) Dye to Match offers the best color match possible. Since the dyeables are for special occasions such as your wedding or prom you will want your dyeable items to be the proper color. At Dye to Match we offer "Free Precision Dyeing".Dyeing shoes is an art and not a science and not everyone is good at it. At Dye to Match we have been custom Dyeing shoes for 20 years and we take pride in what we do. 2) Some things to know about Dyeable Shoes The dye applied to your shoes is water soluble.If your dyed items are exposed to water or heavy moisture the dye can bleed or stain hands and feet. To prevent this use a water repellent spray on your shoes that is safe for fabric. "Check accessories". The spray will not make your shoes fully waterproof but is the best available protection against staining.It is fast drying and will not affect your color. Once your shoes have been sprayed the color is sealed meaning you can't re-dye your shoes at a later date. 3) If you choose not to spray your shoes you will be able to dye them a darker color at a later date if you so desire. Such as Navy, Burgundy, Brown, Hunter green,or Black. The first dye is FREE any dye after that will cost $15.00 per shoe and $10.00 per bag plus shipping (Refer to Shipping Info). The second color will never be as good as a match as the first but it will be as close as possible. Any shoe or bag redyed black will be $10.00 each item plus shipping. 4) Dyed items look different from indoor to outdoor (Natural Lighting). Shoes dyed peach, beige and taupe will look pinkish outside verses inside. Grey or silver can take on a purple tone outside. Color changes in different light settings is due to the presence of ultra violet light in the natural light spectrum. If your event is to be outdoors please ask for your shoes to be matched under those conditions. Otherwise they will be dyed for indoor lighting. There is no such thing as a perfect color match, everyone sees color differently, therefore your Dyeable shoes will be dyed to blend with your special ensemble. Dyeing Instructions: There are 2 ways to get your shoes dyed, We can ship them to you for a fitting so you can get a dress swatch, or if you already have a swatch you can order the shoes and mail us a color swatch and we will dye them and ship them to you. Swatch must be a 1" X 1" piece of fabric a sash or straps are also good for us to match the color. Swatches are all returned with shoes. If more than 1 pair of shoes are being dyed the same color we only need 1 swatch. Dyeing & Shipping time: Once we have the shoes and swatch it will take 7 days to mix the color and dye the shoes then 2-3 days priority mail for shipping. We ship all shoes USPS. If you need them to be shipped Express mail the fee is $20.00 for next day shipping. This is only after the shoes have been dyed and are ready to ship. Mail all swatches and shoes to address below.
